Eigentlich war schon alles klar und auf der SUMMER BREEZE-HP wurden SAMAEL freudig angekündigt. Aber dann kam alles anders und die Schweizer zogen ihre Zusage zurück.
Dazu ein Statement der Veranstalter: "After initially confirming their participation in SUMMER BREEZE 2005, the band SAMAEL has now cancelled their appearance! We had already agreed on the conditions of their booking. However, after it had been made public on our homepage and in the press, the band suddenly wanted to change the conditions, threatening not to play if their demands weren´t met. This left us no other choice but to cancel their gig. We believe this is not the way to work together and we hope that you, the fan, will understand our decision."
Für die Rückkehr von David Vincent zu MORBID ANGEL mußte Steve Tucker seinen Hut nehmen. Jetzt meldet er sich mit UNDERCURRENT zurück und hat drei Songs online gestellt. Zu finden sind sie hier.
Scheint so, als wären aus dem ursprünglichen "Ein-Album-Projekt" GOD AMONG INSECTS eine richtige Band geworden. Zur Zeit ist man in Schreiblaune und hat das folgende Statement auf der Band-Website gepostet:
"Well, things took quite an interesting turn last night... While planning to start writing material for the second full-length of the Insects after recording the new The Project Hate-album, 2 new songs were composed a few days ago. Better write when the inspiration is there, right?
It seems we headed for a faster approach in these 2 and the tunes are brutal and heavy as all hell, just like our brand of death metal was meant to be. We have some 8 more songs to write and we are doing bits and pieces more or less every day now, so in a week the material for the next album will probably be completed, haha...
We do daily updates on our forum about the songwriting-process and if you are interested in checking those out, just sign up and enter. It seems like Threeman Recordings wants to release this, we´ll just have to wait and see what kind of budget they will hand us. Now we are off to write some more death fucken metal before the recording of the new The Project Hate album starts."
FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING werden momentan noch von LEGACY-Sänger Sam Anetzberger am Mikro unterstützt. Dieser wird sich aber in Zukunft verstärkt seinem Studium und LEGACY widmen, deshalb sind FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING auf der Suche nach einem würdigen Ersatz.
Die Band dazu: "The one to be chosen should be committed to shows, practices, forthcoming recordings and must have great stage presence (in any possible personal or special way). On principle, there is no matter to sound the same way Sam does, doubtless the one should be an extreme vocalist who perfectly fits to our music."

THE IDORU sind zur Zeit noch nicht so bekannt, NEWBORN waren es seinerzeit schon. Nach dem Aus für die Band haben 3/5 der Band THE IDORU gegründet, die im Februar ihr Debüt mit dem passenden Titel "Brand New Way, Brand New Situation" via Burning Heart veröffentlichen werden.
Einen ersten Song kann man auf der Website der Band runterladen, "Drama Of Our Time" heißt das gute Stück.
DIE KRUPPS werden bei ihrer 25-Jahre Reunion Show beim Orkus Festival zu fünft auf der Bühne stehen. Neben den drei Gründungsmitgliedern Jürgen Engler (Vocals), Ralf Dörper (Keyboard) und Rüdiger Esch (Bass) werden sie von zwei bisher ungenannten Gastmusikern verstärkt. Vom "Paradise Now" Line Up fehlt wie zu erwarten war also natürlich insbesondere der Metalhead Lee Altus (Gitarre).
Die beiden Krawallformationen D.A.M.N. und UPPERCUT werden das Billing des Rock Harz Open Airs verstärken. Die zwei "female fronted" Bands wurden auf den Wunsch zahlreicher Fans hin aufgenommen.
