BB Events e.V. haben jetzt den Auftritt von VROUDENSPÎL nach ihrem starken Auftritt aus dem Vorjahr für das diesjährige TANZT! Festival bestätigt. Am Samstag, den 22. November 2008 steigt nun schon die zweite Ausgabe dieses Mittelalter-Indoor-Events. Nach der erfolgreichen Premiere
2007 in Rosenheim und der großen Nachfrage hat man jetzt eine größere Location gefunden: die Kulturfabrik in Kufstein (A).

Nach dem Auftritt der letzen Band wird bei der Aftershowparty DJ Narrenkönig mit einem entsprechenden Programm weiter einheizen. Auf einem Händlermarkt gibt es wieder alles was das Herz des Mittelalterliebhabers höher schlagen lässt.

Der Eintrittspreis beträgt 9 EUR im Vorverkauf und 12 EUR an der Abendkasse - Einlass ist dabei ab 18 Uhr.

Die Traditions-Metaller von GRAVE DIGGER wechseln erneut das Label und haben jetzt einen neuen Vertrag bei Napalm Records aus Österreich unterschrieben. Das neue Werk (kein Konzeptalbum!) wird gerade vorbereitet und wird am 09. Januar 2009 unter dem Titel "Ballads Of A Hangman" herauskommen.

Vorab wird zur Einstimmung auf das neue Gräberalbum schon Ende November eine EP erscheinen, eine komplette Europatournee wird ebenfalls Anfang 2009 beginnen.

DARK TRANQUILLITY und Bassist Michael Nicklasson gehen getrennte Wege, da der Bassmann aus "persönlichen Gründen" eine Pause braucht. Die nächsten Shows werden mit einem Sessions-Bassisten bestritten.

Nicklasson: "After almost 10 years and tons of tours and festivals, I chose to leave DARK TRANQUILLITY for personal reasons.

"It's been so cool all this time to meet all the people and the tons of fans around the world, and all the friends that I got during this amazing journey — crew, fans and all the people I (we) worked with. I can't name everyone, as the list would take up all the space on the web site, but I'm going to miss all of you that worked and supported us (me) during these years, but this is the right thing to do, I really need a break.

"There are no hard feelings in the band; it's a thing that we all felt was the best for DARK TRANQUILLITY. Now I'm going to kick back for a while, and then I'll see what's in the future for me.

"I wish the best for the rest off the boys in my old crew, and to all: I'm coming back in one way or another... Thanx to all off you!"

Da sich Sänger, Gründungsmitglied und Hauptsongschreiber Mikael Sandorf zum Ausstieg entschieden hat, hat der Rest der Band THE DUSKFALL ebenfalls auf Eis gelegt.

Sandorf: "The time has come for me to leave THE DUSKFALL after nine years. This has been a decision I have breathed, slept and thought over for a long time. I have gone through a lot of good and fun times with the rest of the guys but keeping this band alive has taken a toll on me in my personal life. I feel that we have managed to write and record four great albums together, but now it's time for me to move on."

ALARUM wurden für das ProgPower Europe bestätigt und werden am 03.10. auf die Bühne gehen.

Die Kölner Rockformation GUN BARREL kann ihre Herkunft doch nicht ganz verleugnen und hat daher einen ultimativen Test auf Mallorca durchgeführt: Direkt vor Ort am Ballermann versuchten sich die vier deutschen Rock-Raubeine im direkten Vergleich mit Party-Künstler LIBERO 5. Dabei wird die wichtige Frage geklärt, ob eine waschechte laute Gitarrenband das Publikum auf Mallorca nicht sogar noch besser begeistern kann als ein Party-Stimmungsprofi. Der passende Bericht dazu wird am heutigen Samstag ab 19:05 Uhr auf RTL im Rahmen der Sendung "Explosiv" ausgestrahlt.
