"Sterling Black Icon" heißt das neue, am 24.März erscheinende, Album von FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING - den Titelsong gibt es bereits jetzt direkt auf der neugestalteten Homepage der Band.
Dave Wyndorf,Sänger von MONSTER MAGNET, wurde am 27.02. mit einer Drogenüberdosis in ein Krankenhaus eingeliefert. Die Band musste daraufhin alle Europa-Dates streichen.
Ihr Manager sagte in einem ersten Statement: "The fight is at times a lonely, confusing journey. On the evening of February 27, Dave Wyndorf suffered a setback in his own fight and was hospitalized due to a drug overdose. His full recovery is expected. We ask that all those he has encountered over the years or simply affected by his music to take a moment to think good thoughts of and for him. With the grace of God and those who love him we are all confident that Dave will rebound from this set back and continue to play and make great rock and roll."
"Discordia" wird das neue MISERY INDEX-Albium (VÖ: 22. Mai)heißen. Worum es in den Texten geht, verrät Jason Netherton: "The central theme of Discordia revolves around a critical approach to everyday life in our ´modern´ world. The lyrics are critical but at the same time hopeful. We hope that in looking at the world as it REALLY is, without painting any happy face on that which aches and suffers for change, we can sing these songs in confidence of something that matters and of something that screams for life in a mediated framework that consistently presents death as "the way of life" in the world outside the comfortable borders of the West, as well as in our own nation."
Die reguläre Variante wird 10 Tracks enthalten, auf der LP-Version findet zusätzlich noch eine NASUM-Coverversion Platz.
Da sie noch keinen neuen Sänger gefunden haben, mußten FINNTROLL die Teilnahme an der NO MERCY-Tour absagen.
Das Statement dazu im Original:
"We are more than sorry to inform that we are forced to cancel the No Mercy - Tour. We are still searching for a new vocalist and we feel that it´s only fair to the fans that next shows what Finntroll will do, will be with a new line-up, not with temporary replacements.
We are at least as dissapointed as some of you for not being able to do the tour, but we´ll hope that next opportunity to see you all along the road somewhere will happen really soon. Until then...Rot´n´Troll."
Am 29.04.06 geben DEINE LAKAIEN im Rahmen der Ausstellung "Melancholie. Genie und Wahnsinn in der Kunst" in der Neuen Nationalgalerie zu Berlin im Salon Noir/Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz ein exklusives Akustikkonzert. Einlass ist um 20.00 Uhr, los gehts um 21.00 Uhr, die Karten kosten 19EUR + VVK Gebühren. Die Kapazität des Konzertsaals ist auf 700 Sitzplätze begrenzt.
