BiografieAntares Predator was formed around 1999 as Øyvind Winther decided to bring his solo project Wolf327 of 1994 to the next level as a 5 member black thrash-metal band. Wolf327 had 2nd priority to Øyvind’s main band “Keep of Kalessin” during the late 90’s, and gained full focus when Kalessin was put on ice for some time by the end of the decade. The Name was changed to Antares Predator and the work on the debut full length release began. By early 2003 the band still wasn’t ready to record, mainly because of problems finding a singer that would fit into the picture with the various vocal styles involved. The lineup came to an end as Øyvind and Mikal (bass) relocated from Trondheim to Oslo. Antares Predator would lay dormant for a few years until the search for a drummer and singer would bring Italian Gionata Potenti into the game, resulting in the EP “Banquet of Ashes” released in 2008 through the Italian label The Oath. Gionata was replaced by German drummer Jan Benkwitz shortly after recording the EP, and Steffan Schulze (Harm) completed the new lineup for the release of the full length album “The Twilight of The Apocalypse” due for release February 5th 2010.
