Svartby

BiografieBorn in Autumn 2004, Svartby did a breakout in the Russian folk metal scene. Merry songs that can't keep a single person from dancing and brutal enough for crazy headbanging - the wild black village crew rips into ears and brains and bones from the first time you've heard and seen it.

We sing about wild magic creatures living in the forest - witches, goblins, dwarfs - definitely unkind to human folk, but at the same time merry, nature-loving and nice living beings with a good sense of humor

The debuting album, "Kom I Min Kittel" (Come Into My Cauldron) is devoted to the witch tribe of the Black Village - with all their artifacts like brooms, toads, cats, cauldrons, child-eating and, of course, sorcery.

Recording - Phantom Pain Studio, Russia by Igor Anokhin
Mixing - Astia Studio, Finland by Anssi Kippo
Mastering - SonichouseTM, Finland by Teemu Myyryläinen

Welcome to our fire, folks - take a good mug of beer and prepare to sink in a merry forest hurricane!
