BiografieDuring the summer of 1997, Cedric (guitar) and Laurent (singer) formed the band and eventually found a place to rehearse at LA SAUVETAT close to CLERMONT-FERRAND (63). Aurelien (drums, Jerome (bass) and Mike who was eventually replaced by Luc (guitar) completed thr line-up.

At this time the band, whose name has HALLEBARDE played in the style of Melody Death. A mumber of concerts were performed around the region with « ALIENATION MENTALE », « SATAN’S FUCKERS » and « ANCESTRAL ».

To begin with the musicians changed quite often and after Jerome (bass) left Jimmy (guitar) arrived in january 1999 and Luc took up the bass. Jimmy was replaced in the summer of 1999 by David (from ANCESTRAL). Due to his experience (he had played concerts with LOUDBLAST and EDGE OF SANITY) the musical orientation of the band developed. The compositions became more and more brutal. The mame HALLEBARDE which was a connotation of Black Metal was changed to DISLOCATION which is a better representation of the band’s philosophy.

With the arrival of Jeremy as drummer during the summer of 2000, the band was eventually stable and held many concerts in the region, notably with ASMODEUS. In december 2000 Seb was recruited to look after acoustics and vocals freeing up the band to concentrate on playing live.

DISLOCATION is now composed of :

Seb (sound system and backing vocals)

The more recent compositions are increasingly Death Brutal with some melodic parts. The band used to sing in English but now sing exclusively in their mother tounge-Frensh. Once DISLOCATION had perfected their repertoire they decided to make a CD at the end of april 2003 and after seven days in the studio (Factory Studio in Beaumont they had produced their first album. He is available in catalogs Adipocere, Holy Recors,…
400 copies, on 1000 pressed, are sold to this day.

A promotionnal concert took place in CLERMONT-FERRAND, on December 12th, 2003, with MISANTHROPE, to « LA COOPERATIVE DE MAI ». 300 persons made the movement.

DISLOCATION looks now for dates of concerts in all France, and even outside, to promote his album. A label would be welcome to support them at the promotional and financial levels.

MARCH 2004: David (guitar) has just left the group for reasons of estrangement. Indeed, living in AIX-LES-BAINS for some time, it is difficult for him to assume the progress of the group. DISLOCATION will appear henceforth, and until new order, to a guitar.
