Band:

Cropment

Biografieline-up (left > right) : ADRIAN (guitars) - RENÉ (vocals) - STEPHAN (guitars) - PATRIK (bass) - CLAUDIO (drums)

The beginnings of the band go back to the summer of the year 1999. Stephan (guitar) and Claudio (drums) laid the foundations of the band by playing a couple of jam sessions and finding out that the musical preferences pointed to the same direction. Soon they started their own song writing and the first song began to take shape. In search of more members, chance helped to get in touch with Adrian who now assists with powerful guitar work. The trio began to function and the repertoire of songs increased. Unfortunately the search for a bass player has been unsuccessful, all tested candidates were either unmotivated or didn´t fit in because of musical differences.

On the other hand it was possible to occupy the vocal part in the beginning of 2001. Namely René took this job extremely well on. Remains to say that CROPMENT is his first band ever and he managed getting in brilliantly. Afterwards the band settled on CROPMENT as the name of the band.

In Spring 2002, the band decided to record their first three songs and to release a Mini-CD before going on CHAOS TOUR with CENSORED through Eastern Europe in summer 2002 (see tour dates). After having checked out different studios, they decided to gather their first recording experiences in the Zodiac Studios Solothurn. This decision turned out to be right, because the producer of this studio, Kaspar Brossi, has got a huge know-how. So the band could profit from him and his big experience and learned a lot while recording and mixing. By the way, the three blasting tracks were mastered by Glenn Miller at Greenwood Studios, one of the most famous Mastering Studios in Europe. The Cover-Artwork has been drawn by Marco Gemmet from "Darken Art" and the layout is designed professionally and very well. This piece of powerful underground music, that has been released in july 2002, has been selling very well: more than 250 copies in 6 months. Now, there are only a few cds left and so, the band decided to release the 7"-split-ep "Cockclocked humanity" with VAGINAL INCEST.

The split 7" contains 2 grindy CROPMENT-tracks from the "braindrain timeslavery"-MCD and 6 crushing pieces of the german grindcore-combo VAGINAL INCEST. The 7" appeared on BLUTWURSCHT PRODUCTIONS in January 2003. In the same period we got luck and Patrik Wawrzyniak joined us as bass player. So CROPMENT have a first time a full line-up finally!

Also in 2003, CROPMENT is going to record their next release. So check the latest news on www.cropment.com and above all, support the underground. See you on stage! Quelle: http://www.cropment.com/ www
