BiografieINSTIL from Groningen, The Netherlands made some great progression with their debut mCD ‘Questioning like only consciousness can question’ on Beniihana records and their appearances on the Goodlife Festival, HellfireFest, Shadows of Disgust, Hydrargyum, NoordschokFestival (Dutch indoor-brother of waldrock and dynamo). In 2 years they toured 5 times through Europe and did also as first Dutch band ever a mini-tour through Iceland. The band had the opportunity to support or tour with bands like Entombed, Eighteen Visions, Himsa, Throwdown, Undying, Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn, Internal Suffering, The Crown etc. The band played more than 100 shows around Europe in the last 26 months. In the summer of 2003 they moved to Burning Season records.

In the winter of 2004 they released a split-CD with Instil and Kyds vs. Columbus from Phoenix, Arizona. Their effort is recorded a year ago and is called ´Heartopsy´. In January 2004 Instil signed a deal with Dutch label Garden of Exile records. There were a couple of very cool labels interested. And not only hardcore/metalcore labels. Garden of Exile came up with the best offer. It’s a brand new full-time label but have a lot of experience in (e-)marketing, internet and distribution due their activities beside the label. With Garden of Exile Instil is able to reach new fans by various media besides magazines and a mp3 on their website. They released the 12-song debut album ´Fire reflects in ashes´ on May 14th 2004 and since early June it´s distributed worldwide.

The current songs can be described as ‘modern thrash metal combined with melodic and brutal metalcore parts’. Think a combination of The Haunted, At the Gates, Arch Enemy up with brutal heaviness like Burnt By the Sun, Hatebreed or Unearth.

Magazines like RockTribune (Belgium), Fret, (Netherlands), Aardschok (Netherlands) and e-zines like Rockezine, Poisonfree.com, Roarezine, Kindamuzik, RockTribune, Zwaremetalen, Silent Stagnation (Germany), Sometimes (Japan) talks about one of the fast growing metal/metalcore acts of Europe. This through professionally and different approach to heavy music than their European colleagues.
