Biografie 1991, INTESTINE BAALISM was formed in the suburb of Tokyo by Seiji Kakuzaki (Vocals, Guitars), Takeshi Ohkouchi (Drums) and other unknown local musicians. They played Thrash Metal in the early times, but after joining of Katsumasa Yoshida (Bass) in 1992, they decided to change their musical style into true Death Metal and started to play at clubs in Tokyo.

INTESTINE BAALISM´s first milestone was the recording of an official demo titled "The Energumenus" , which was released in 1994 and sold over 500 copies in a very short term. Being encouraged by the reputation of the demo, they began to look for a label that could spread out their music world-widely. In 1997, INTESTINE BAALISM´s first full-length album, "An Anatomy Of The Beast" , was finally released by Repulse Records.

"An Anatomy Of The Beast" was highly appreciated by underground metalheads in the world. However, under its success, no one could expect that INTESTINE BAALISM should have to conquer severe situation. They were forced to stop activities due to unstable line-up and other unexpected troubles. In the meantime, Takeshi, one of the founding members, left the band.

Seiji and Katsumasa, however, never gave up INTESTINE BAALISM. They continued writing music and rehearsing, while they were looking for full-time members who could dedicate themselves into the band. In 1998, although the line-up was still not fixed, Seiji decided to start recording because he had already written a lot of materials by that time. The recording was done quite slowly and intermittently with a little helps by their friends. After repeating trial and error, the recording for the 2nd album, "Banquet In The Darkness" was completed in late 2000.

By the end of 2000, INTESTINE BAALISM fortunately succeeded to find dedicated and reliable full-time members. Jiro Ito (Guitars) and Hisao Hashimoto (Drums) joined the force. With the new line-up, INTESTINE BAALISM started to play gigs again. In 2001, they invited fabulous singer, Kiyonori "Ouji" Hosokawa to join the band, and his participation will definitely lead the band into the top seed of Death Metal!!

Now, mighty INTESTINE BAALISM are coming back to the world scene after 6 years of silence, and ready for grabbing your blood and souls with the anticipated 2nd album "Banquet In The Darkness" !!!
