Liquid God

(Underdog)
Biografie"Those guys are really crazy, man! They fuckin´ rock. Life Of Agony meets Alice In Chains! Unbelievable!” If a musician like Sasha Popovic (drummer of American Funk-Rockers Mother Tongue) speaks in that way about a support act and, in addition, watches every single gig by them, there must be a meaning. In their short history, LIQUID GOD did not just share stages with bands like MOTHER TONGUE, ALEC EMPIRE, TAPE, CALIBAN, STRAIGHT or END OF APRIL, but also convinced a lot of different, critical audiences. A huge amount of fanmails, requests for autographs from Poland and a permanently growing fanbase in Germany provide evidence. Therefore, it is quite normal that the first self-produced mini CD "Chapter One“ is completely sold out. As a result, the band are planning to provide the full-length ep for free download on their website www.liquidgod.com.

LIQUID GOD are on fire. Since the beginning in spring 2002 and without any help from a record label, they have played many concerts, given radio interviews and have been celebrated as the “big new hope” of the music scene. "NANGOL“, produced by Jay Uken in his well known Soundlodge Studio (Mephistopheles, Obscenity, Porncreep...) now encourages this hope. www.metal–inside.de, one of the biggest online magazines in alternative music, writes:

“The Songs are great! Music somewhere between Katatonia and Tool, Opeth and Glassjaw, from catchy, melancholic rock with double vocal harmonies to aggressive metal with fast and doomy parts. The fourthcoming album will be hot, no doubt about that!“

"NANGOL“ is not just a self-cleansing ritual of a South-African tribe. Moreover, it is the liberation act of a band that does not want to be suppressed by usual musical dogmas which extremely damage the music industry nowadays. There are lots of copies, it is hard to find originals, but LIQUID GOD are one of those seldom species. Organic, hard and complex, but still so catchy and made for the masses like an up-to-date pop production, the band show that it is possible to be different without being avantgardistic. There are no idols. Those who cling to idols do not create anything new. You can find parallels in other musicians, but you will not find any stereotypic genre relatives. LIQUID GOD want to create something new, and those who listen to "NANGOL“ will realize that the band has already reached this little aim.

Nangol - Cover
Besser spät als nie. Gut Ding will Weile haben. Welch in diesem Zusammenhang blasphemisches Wiederkauen von Altbekanntem. Wo LIQUID GOD dieses doch so fremd sein muss.
