BiografieSARISSA started out around the end of 1985 as an ordinary heavy metal band. This was the beginning of a long way, until we became the most popular cult band in Hellas. We recorded our first demo tapes which received positive reviews also outside of the borders of Hellas (Rock Hard-Germany, Shock Power and lots of more around the world).
This helped us to get a serious name in our country (radio stations, ‘zines, concerts, etc..) and the interest of Polygram Greece came up after a while. A few months later we establish our base in Germany dealing with Modern Music, we got close to a deal with Noise. The choice was between us and a Soviet band called CRUIZ. Having some money and military problems we went back to Hellas, searching for a new singer. After 2 years we found the right front-man (in the meantime we gave a few concerts with guests in the place of the singer) and with a complete line-up we were “ready to kill” as everything seemed right for the next level, until more line-up problems showed up, this time it was the guitarist who left.

At the end of 1992 we enter the studio to record our first self-financed album which sold 2000 copies without any distribution at all. To make a long story short, after this release we faced again problems and finally we split up on 1995.

At the end of 1999 we got together with the original 1987 line-up (except the vocalist) and started under the same enthousiasm as it was a new begin. The next step was re-releasing the original first demo cd through Metal Invader magazine which sold around 12000 copies. Then we supported FATES WARNING and after a few more shows we headline the Athens Power Metal Festival with Dimitris Liapakis (VALLEY’S EVE, MYSTIC PROPHECY) in the place of the singer.
After some legal problems with Liapakis record company, we decided to call back our original singer to join the band for a 3 track promo cd which got some interest from a few labels.

On 2002 the same old story of line-up changes happened again, so this brought us to the today’s line-up which recorded a 6 track promo which gave us the very much desired record deal with Black Lotus recs on the begin of 2003.

Finally, after some military problems of our singer and the making of our own recording studio, we proudly present you our new opus titles “Masters of sins”.
