BiografieFinnish metal-act Katra was founded in summer 2006 when vocalist Katra Solopuro gathered a group of musicians around her.



Things evolved quickly and by autumn their first single Sahara got a fair share of radio air time. More was to follow when Katra was chosen to race for place to represent Finland in Eurovision´s song contest in the beginning of 2007. Katra performed couple of shows in TV and had over 2 million viewers.



In spring 2007 selftitled debute album was released and Katra toured around the Nation. At the same time the band wrote some new material.
