July We welcome Marco Vreven as our new drummer. He has a lot of experience, since he played with bands like The Quiescent(Last Funeral), Walpurgis, Damage Eve, Desperation, Ex Inferis, Mothra, Eveline, ... He will be ready to play the first concerts in Spain in October to promote the forthcoming "Slay Your Kind"-album! June Disturbing news: Marc decides to quite Exterminator. His words: "I don't want to slow the band down with it's huge future plans. It's better now for me to quite in friendship and give the others the opportunity to find a replacement in time, than to end up in arguement with them about for example not being able to play an important concert because I lack holidays. Look at some pictures of the concert in the Pictures-link. Painkiller Records has shown interest in Exterminator. There the CD has not been released yet, negotiations begin. April The videoclip for "Road Crash Rebellion" is finished. It will be featured on the forthcoming CD. Exterminator turns down the offer from Shiver Records. Promotion remained a crucial point of discussion. There will also appear a videoclip from "Road Crash Rebellion" as a bonus on the forthcoming CD. The footage was shot on 26/08/2005 at the Ripollet Rock Festival. The final editing of the clip commences. A 2nd place from the public and a 3rd place from the jury ends the participation from Exterminator to the Wacken Metal Battle Concours. March The forthcoming CD "Slay Your Kind" contains 9 songs (intro included): - Slay Your Kind (intro) - Road Crash Rebellion - Primordial Law - Inside The Pyramid - The Human Vermin - Cannibalistic Paranoia - Black Dominion Of The Old Dragon - 732, Poitiers - La Souffrance Artist are working very hard on the booklet: Sabine (AT), Igino (I) Kris Verwimp (BE) are preparing the cover. Exterminator is confirmed to play at the famous Fuck The Commerce Festival in Luckau, which will be the first concert ever for Exterminator to play on German territory! February Photoshoot in the haunted house in Sas-van-Gent. Exterminator got selected to participate the Wacken Open Air Concours. If the band wins the finals, they will play at the biggest European metalfestival! Exterminator signs a PR-deal with Skydra Management for bookings and management of the band. More info in the Contact/Bookings-link. January The forthcoming CD "Slay Your Kind" will be distributed by none the less than Century Media Distribution (DE) and Season Of Mist (FR). The Benelux-distribution remains to be a pain in the ass!










2005

December: The new CD is mastered.

November: Several artists were contacted to design the cover for the forthcoming CD. Also Exterminator was offered a deal by Rotten To The Core-label, a new Belgian label runned by deathmetal.be. No agreement on the terms, no deal in the end.

August: Exterminator plays on the 13th Edition of the Ripollet Rock Festival in the Footballstadium of Ripollet (Spain) for approximately 4.000 visitors. More info at www.ripolletrockfestival.com. Excellent footage for the forthcoming videoclip!

July: Exterminator starts recording the new album in the Los Angered Recording Studios in Sweden under the professional guidance of Andy Larocque (KING DIAMOND, ex-DEATH, ...)!

May: Alan Coenegrachts (ex-Desperation, Leech, ...) is the new bassplayer of Exterminator. Exterminator also starts recording a videoclip.

March: After 8 years Exterminator and bassplayer Ivan decide to go separate ways.
February: Exterminator plays the first concert in 1,5 year time in Brussels.




2004

February: Jacky suffers from some kind of articular disease. Doctors are in search for cause and treatment. Playing guitar is impossible, but he managed to write the first new lyrics.

May: Jacky has had surgery and needs to rehabilitate, singing won´t be possible for a while. Ivan, Marc and Kris continue the working on new songs.

August: Exterminator has been offered a recorddeal from the french label DEAD SUN RECORDS. The "media"-link on the website is updated with mp3-files and a video of "Mirror Images".

December: Kris had surgery on his meniscus, the situation of Jacky has stabilized, Ivan had a caraccident on his way to the rehearsalroom (cardamage) and Marc broke up with his girlfriend. Exterminator decided not to sign a deal with DEAD SUN RECORDS.



2003

May: The band decides to give priority to the making of new songs, concerts are on hold.

July: After having more than 4.000 visitors, the website www.listen.to/exterminator is terminated

November: A new up to date website www.exterminator.be is online.



2002

May: Exterminator plays the first concert with Marc in Luxemburg.

September: Marc is steamed up for the second Spanish tour of Exterminator in 8 cities. All new made T-shirts got sold out on this tour.

October: Each month the band plays concerts in the Benelux.



2001

July: Baruch (drummer) decides to leave Exterminator because he couldn´t practice enough due to the distance to the rehearsal room and having only one drum. Marc Damiaens joins the band as the new drummer. He has a long way to go, because he only plays drum for one year now.

September: Exterminator does a one week minitour in Belgium with Spanish friends Dirty Lust and also with Baruch still on drums.



2000

January: Exterminator celebrates their 10th anniversary.

February: Accept for one proposition from Shiver (the later LSP-company), Exterminator doesn´t receive any deal. But, the deal with Shiver means no Cd-release before September 2000.

March: Exterminator decides to release "Mirror Images" on their own by I.M.F-label.

June: The release of the new CD leads to many interviews. Advertisements of the band appear in different magazines. Also 250 demo´s have been send to organisers to get some concerts to promote the new CD.

July: An official website is steamed up to meet many requests of people all over the world; the url www.listen.to/exterminator is soon visited by more than 1.000 people.

August: The first newsletter of Exterminator is released and send to fans to stay updated. Exterminator plays at the Biebob Metalfest with Saxon, Immortal, Rhapsody, Nightwish, Ancient Rites and After Forever. The festival has about 4.000 paying metalfans. Exterminator presents the CD"Mirror Images" to the public in Hasselt, the capital of their homeprovince Limburg, on the 14th.

October: Exterminator does a minitour in Spain to promote the CD

December: Exterminator plays at the Batcave of the 013 in Tilburg (Holland).



1999

February: Molly (drums) decides to quit.

April: The final gig for Molly.

July: Baruch Van Bellegem joins Exterminator as their new drummer.

September: A new CD gets (finally) recorded in Studio De Hautregard in Verviers.



1998

October: After a less period with only small concerts, Exterminator gets the opportunity to support Cannibal Corpse, Infernal Majesty, Dark Funeral and Vader.

November: This impuls leads the guys to the Czech Republic as support for Edge Of Sanity. Even on this gig a busload of people joined them to support them.



1997

January: Ivan De Hondt replaces Jeroen on the bassguitar. Werner (guitarist) does no longer seems to be interested in Exterminator and decides after a while also to quit.

Februari: Kris Jacquemin becomes the new guitarist from Exterminator. He has three weeks to learn all the songs.

May: Exterminator plays as support for Benediction and again a busload of people joins them to this concert. The stage in the "Maeckeblyde" is where Metallica once did their first concert in Belgium. After this concert, suddenly Jules (drums) decides to quit.

July: Molly enters Exterminator as the new "drumbeast". It will be September before the band starts playing concerts.

November: Exterminator records a videoclip for "Hysteron Proteron". The video gets dumped because of the bad synchronisation of the sound and image and because of the insufficient quality of the light.

December: Nevertheless, a german manager offers his services. Because of him Exterminator records in one day time a promotape called "Night Music". Despite sending it to 80 (!) recordlabels, a deal cannot be found.



1996

November: After 16 promotional concerts for the MCD Jeroen (bassguitar) decides to leave.



1995

February: Tessa Records, a Belgian label, sees the persistence of Exterminator, gives them a contract and gets "Forgotten Souls" released. This MCD contains: "Epitome", "Opaque Ordeal", "Hysteron Proteron", "World Within" and "Erroneous Idiosyncracy". "Forgotten Souls" received good reviews at home and abroad and it sold very well for a miniCD (1.000 pieces), this in spite of the boycott by Roughtrade (so it wasn´t available in the Benelux-countries).

May: Werner Geijsels becomes the new guitarist of Exterminator.

July: Exterminator takes a busload of people with them to the first "With A Dragons´ Blaze"- festival, where they are due to perform in the footballstadium.

August: Exterminator plays as warming-up act for Sadist.

December: Exterminator plays for the first time abroad.



1994

May: Exterminator decides after many concerts, but of the lack of a recorddeal, to split. A final concert was held on May 7th 1994, in the same place they played for the first time ever.

November: The new Exterminator is born: Jacky Cuypers (guitar/vocals), Jeroen Lemmens (Bassguitar) and Jules Lemmens (drums).



1993

April: Exterminator doesn´t accept a recorddeal offered by Inline Music from Germany.

May: Exterminator decides to record a miniCD under the guidance of Andre Gielen (Channel Zero, Deviate, Master, Keaton, Asphyxia, ...).

June: Sigi (drums) leaves Exterminator because he can´t cope with its high working speed.

July: With newcomer Mario Goossens the recordings are done over and the search for a (better) recorddeal had started.



1992

January: Fate strikes: roadie Frank get kills in a tragic car-accident, bassguitarist Rudi gets heavily injured. Nevertheless, "Circle Of Violence" gets released even if the bands slows down for a while.

May: After a few concerts (with a.o. The Gathering) singer Bart decides to leave Exterminator. Jacky and Ronny take over the vocals.

November: First performance as a quartet with double, switching vocals. One of a kind in the European Underground!



1991

January: The founding of Exterminator by: Rudi Houben (bassguitar), Ronny Serdongs (guitar), Bart Maarten (vocals), Jacky Cuypers (guitar) en Sigi Loots (drums).

November: First performance on Dirty Rotten Concert III with Deadhead.

December: The recording of their first demo "Circle Of Violence" at Gobi Sound studio in Maastricht, Holland. This demo contains five songs: "Fragments Of An Agony Deranged", "Circle Of Violence", "In My Sleep", "The Unknown Warrior" and "Criminal Act".
