Band:

Charlotte

BiografieCHARLOTTE formed in Los Angeles, CA in 1987 and quickly became a top draw on the famed Sunset Strip, which at that time included The Whisky-a-Go-Go, The Roxy, The Central/Viper Room, and Gazzari's (now Key Club). Their music grew to a point where they had no readily identifiable influences other than a vague allusion to power-driven '70's rock and hardcore mudwater blues. Fans from all over flocked to see the band that put the voodoo back in rock and roll. Some say they did it to change the world. Others say they did it for the girls and a place to crash for a week or so. Whatever the motive, fueled by Jack Daniel's Tennessee sour mash and an aggressive obsession with the meta-physical, CHARLOTTE left their mark on the LA rock scene until the mid '90's as headliners and as openers for bands such as XYZ, E-Z-O, VIXEN, BLACK N' BLUE, and RACER X. They also left their mark on many a bar-room wall if the bathrooms were full (A shout-out to Coach 'N Horses). The band recorded with top LA producers such as Marc DeSisto, Allen Zentz, and Mike Wolf. But, most of all, CHARLOTTE was known for its engaging live performances. Rock writer Stephanie Jordan wrote in Screamer magazine, "Dark, esoteric, and bordering on psychotic, CHARLOTTE proved themselves far above the competition repeatedly throughout their performance...They play music that actually hurts. Beautiful." In July of 2009 CHARLOTTE signed with super-indie label EONIAN RECORDS and now look forward to sharing their music worldwide. Their debut album 'Medusa Groove' was released in April 2010 and is available on i-Tunes, CDBaby, CDUniverse, Amazon.com and Nightmare Records. You can also order directly from Eonian Records (http://www.eonianrecords.com/b-charlotte/charlotte.html) Thanks Y'all. Good times. And put some cream on that thang.

Medusa Groove - Cover
Hach, die Achtziger verantworten nicht nur das Ozonloch und die Verbreitung von Schulterpolstern, sondern sie hatten auch ganz nette Seiten.
