Somniae Status

BiografieSomniae Status formed in 1996 by Alex Danieli, Randy Mion and Fabio Tumiati. In the early years the trio faced up various changes in the line up, until 1999 when the band was finally completed with Breeze Danieli, Andrew Vekk and Mark Perin. The production of new material by the five piece immediately started, and in 2002 Somniae Status recorded their amazing debut album "Cassandra", co-produced by Alex De Rosso (Dark Lord, Dokken) and Somniae Status. "Cassandra" is a powerful concept-album carved out by Alex and Randy´s ever-changing incisive riffs, album full of tasteful arrangements of choruses and harmonies. The album was released in 2003 by Adrenaline Records and suddenly received excellent reactions from the worldwide heavy metal scene, arousing a growing interest in the band´s next albums and in their powerful live shows. "Cassandra" received excellent reviews and Somniae Status were pointed out as one of the best Italian bands by several radios and magazines specialized in the Heavy Metal scene. Somniae Status started gigging around Italy under the flag of Nowhere Tour ´03 at same date of the releasing, receiving amazing reactions by the hard and heavy audience. Just before the tour ending, Breeze Danieli announced he was leaving due to personal commitments, and he was replaced by the new vocalist Ivan Rave. The strong twin guitar bite of Danieli and Mion is often underlined by many guitar magazines, pointing out their style like the core of the sound of Somniae Status. In 2003 and 2004 the two guitarists signed endorsement deals with legendary manufactures of guitars and amps, and the band was invited to gig for many promotional gigs and demonstrations. In 2004 Somniae Status recorded a cover version of Queensryche´s "I don´t believe in love" from their 88´s album Operation Mindcrime; the track is part of "A Tribute To The Glory Of ´80s METAL" released through Steelheart Records on June 1st, 2004. The band started writing the new album "Echoes" while performing live around the country, giving an amazing impact to the new songs and to the entire sound of the album. They entered the New Sin Studios with the fire in their hands, bringing all the energy they gathered on stage! Dragonheart Records offered the band a deal for this new album: Echoes are coming out of Somniae Status, be prepared!Quelle: http://www.somniaestatus.com/biography.htmDiscografie2003 - Cassandra
