BiografieSHAH MAT is born in 2003 with JP DEVOX as a leader. JP , STEPH , FAX and GABY share a real taste for diversity and eclecticism regarding the rock music.

SHAH MAT (which means checkmate) becomes really motivated by this many-facetted new project.

The quartet´s alchemy makes the group´s identity. Strength, groove, atmosphere, melody flirt with outbreaks of balanced violence.

Only a few months after a very productive encounter, a first four-titles demo is born under the attentive ear of ANDRE GIELEN (Channel Zero , Mass Hysteria?), this demo will enable the group to present its personal style, two years long, on the best walloon and french stages such as la fiesta du rock, le festival de Nandrin, le festival de Dour, or La Boule Noire in Paris?

At the beginning of 2005, JOHN ROO (Hollywood Porn Star, Wishbone Ash?) comes helping SHAH MAT for the recording of the first album.

In 2006, the opus caught the attention of ERWIN MUSPER whose impressive biography contains names like David Bowie, Metallica , Anouk... He gives the project its final and professionnal touch by remixing it in stereo but also in 5.1 at the Bamboo Room Studio in Cincinnati. He will also record and mix the new title (Women in chains ).
