BiografieHailing from Worcester and London, UK, THE SEVENTH CROSS formed in the summer of 2004 by ex-members of The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg and Murder One. Not enjoying the styles of music in their previous bands, the ex-members came together to play a blend of music which all of them truly loved and enjoyed.

The band came together all sharing a mutual love for Scandinavian, Gothenburg style death metal, toughguy hardcore and brutal metallic hardcore. Many hours were spent in the rehearsal room writing material which seamlessly blended the different musical styles.........THE SEVENTH CROSS was born!!

During the first few months of existence, the band showed an unrelenting work ethic which saw THE SEVENTH CROSS playing shows with: Strength For A Reason (US), Comeback Kid (Canada), Converge (US), Napalm Death (UK), Modern Life is War (US), Raise the Dead (UK), Awoken (UK), The Red Chord (US), Mistress (UK), Cataract (Swiss), Purified in Blood (Norway), Dignity Dies First (UK), By My Hands (UK), Champion (US), Chimaera (the Euro one, not the US one), 50 Caliber (UK), Billy Club Sandwich (NYC), 100 Demons (US), Six Ft Ditch (UK), Bring me the Horizon (UK), 50 on Red (UK), Bleeding Through (US), Arkangel (Belgium), epic metal brethren Undying (US), The Setup (Belgium), Knuckledust (UK), Liar (Belgium), The Power and the Glory (US), XDeadlockX (Germany), Walls of Jericho (US), a triumphant set at London´s Ninja-Fest 2005, Himsa (US) and 3 Inches of Blood (US).

Having developed a solid, devastating set of songs, the band recorded their first full length album entitled Scorched by the Flames of Vengeance which was initially released on the Welsh hardcore label Staunch Records. Not long afterwards, the band were approached by the legendary CANDLELIGHT RECORDS (home to such legendary bands as Emperor, Crowbar, Enslaved, 1349 and Zyklon), who offered the band a deal. At this point original guitarist Ricky and vocalist Matt decided to part ways with the band, and thus JJ and xsheepx were recruited to wield the 6-stringed axe of steel and shred vocal chords respectively. In December of 2005 the band signed a deal with Candlelight, and in March 2006 the album was re-released with new vocals and the whole thing re-mixed and re-mastered.

The band have started writing their second full length album, which will hopefully be released on Candlelight Records at the end of 2006. Fresh off a UK tour with labelmates CROWBAR and cali rockers WILL HAVEN, the band are looking to play out with the new solidified line up and kick some fringecore arse.
