BiografieAugust 2000 borns the band, in a small show where Luiz Oliveira (guitar) and Fernando Marques (drums) played together. Luiz baptized the band (even without the members) with the name of the event... Metal Jam!

In the same day, the keyboard player, Adolfo Mendonça, was watching, and was invited to join the crew in a test, and soon he became a part of the band. After six months, and a lot of tests and shows with temporary members, the bass player Igor França joined the crew. Marcelo Lima (Hard rock singer and friend) was also invited to join the band, staying only for two shows. But in July 2001, Fábio Almeida replaced Marcelo, and till nowadays this is the formation of Metal Jam.

Just a few months after Fabio’s arrival, the band recorded their first Cd demo: “Dark Omen”. The EP has two songs: Dark Omen
and Hidden Secrets.

After the release show in Santos, they started to play in other cities like, Santo André, São Paulo and Sorocaba. At that time, “Dark Omen” pleased the specialized media recieving great reviews in the magazines Rock Brigade, Roadie Crew, Valhalla, Brazil Metal Law and a lot more. The Radio Enseada (Santos) also received Metal Jam for an interview, promoting The EP in the program called Midnight Metal.

January 2003, Metal Jam did 2 shows with the Band Sigma 5 (Rio de Janeiro) in Santos and in São Paulo. These are two important performances of the band, as great third one that happened in Sorocaba, at april of the same year.
That´s when the worldwide recognized bass player Zuzo Moussawer accepted to produce “The Prayer” the first CD of the band. The project was very challenging: A concept questioning the coldness of our world through a love story.
The band worked during six months on recording/mixing (ZM Studios - Santos) and later masterization (Creative Sound Studios - São Paulo). Ironically, the release of “The Prayer” will happen one year after the begining of the recordings in April 2004.
