BiografieMisericordia was formed during the winter of 1999 with the intention to spread dechrisitanizing blackmetal. The first demo "I Love Jesus (Ripped to Pieces)" was recorded at two different occasions january 2000. During march of 2001 Misericordia entered the studio again this time with Jocke Göthberg (ex marduk) to record some new material, the studio was booked for four days (32hours). Somehow on the third day (mixing) Jocke deleted everything "by accident?" Misericordia had to start all over again in the middle of the night, so "Delenda Caeli" was recorded and mixed in 5 hours period.

Delenda Caeli recieved numerous of positive reviews and landed a deal with DownFall Records. Misericordia finnished the recording of their debut MCD "Erase The Skies" in the January 2002. The recording happened in Endarker studios with Devo Andersson (ex marduk, pain etc).
