BiografieFormed in 1991 with Carlos Sousa (vocal), Andre´ Veras (bass), Henrique Fontanele (guitar) and Julio (drums). In 1995 with the new drummer Junior (Ceara´) the band records the first demotape entitled “The Wrath of Kron”. The lineup of the band will thou change throughout the following years: Andre´ Santos (keyboards) enters the band while Junior and Henrique leave it, promptly replaced by Andre´ Lima (former Deceivers and Vexed) on guitars and Simon Head (former Deja Vu member) on drums. With this line up the band obtains a heavier sound and records during the years 1998-99 their 6 track Demo CD “Dreams” . After this act the band Narcoze is already considered as one of the biggest names in Brasilias Heavy Metal Underground scene and finally consolidates the line up as it is today with the following members: Carlos Sousa (vocal), Andre´ Veras (bass), Andre´ Lima (guitar), Andre´ Santos (keyboards) and Luciano Toledo (former Sagga and Dark Avenger on drums).

With this line up the band starts it´s difficult work to compose material for their debut CD – Genoma which will be released in 2002 through the label Zenor Recordz Brasil. The CD contains 10 tracks of pure Heavy Metal, with astounishing Metal riffs and themes, all enriched with a cover of the Viper hit “Signs of the Night”. The album was recorded at Orbis Studio in Taguatinga/DF and was mixed by James Di Castro at Zen Studios Brasilia.

With Genoma the band finally shows its true face and shape which is, besides the weight in their songs, the personality of its sound. A true HEAVY METAL with a touch of progressive suffering influences of bands such as Symphony X, Rush, Savatage and Children of Bodom among others. With more than 10 years on the road the band already played opening acts for bands such as DiAnno, Krisiun, Dr.Sin, Angra and Shaman. The band is actually working on the promotion of their debut work – Genoma – and on new songs for their upcoming second album.
