CONTRAST, gegründet in Frankfurt a.M. im Jahr 2007, veröffentlicht über zehn Jahre nach Gründung ihr viertes Studioalbum mit dem Titel „Acedia“. Die Produktion des Albums wurde bereits im Februar 2020 in den Ghost City Recordings durch Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg einer Freiheit) aufgenommen und abgeschlossen. Aufgrund der vorherrschenden Covid-19 Pandemie und insbesondere den Einschränkungen hinsichtlich Livekonzerte, entschied sich die Band bisher gegen eine Veröffentlichung des Albums. Das Album führt den bisherigen deutschsprachigen „Melodic Death Metal“ Stil der Band fort und ergänzt diesen um Anteile des „Post Black Metal“. Entgegen den bisherigen Alben erscheint „Acedia“ ausschließlich auf Vinyl und digital.

CONTRAST, founded in Frankfurt/M (Germany) in 2007, releases their fourth studio album titled "Acedia" over ten years after its formation. The production of the album was already completed in February 2020 at Ghost City Recordings by Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg einer Freiheit). Due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic and especially the restrictions regarding live concerts, the band decided to postpone the release of the album so far. The album follows the previous German-language "Melodic Death Metal" style of the band and complements it with parts of "Post Black Metal". Contrary to the previous albums, "Acedia" will be released exclusively on vinyl and digitally.
