Shoot The Messiah

Shoot the Messiah is a thrash/death metal band formed early 2015. Leroy de Raad (guitar/ vocals), and Serge van der Haar (lead guitar) got together with Simon Hofman drums and Michael Lubbersen (bass, backings) to explore new musical territories.

Their aim: to merge their different musical tastes into a heavy brutal type of metal characterizing Shoot the Messiah.

Their Vision: To spread the word that people shouldn’t simply follow others, but voice their own words.

In the beginning of 2016 Shoot the Messiah started to harass the stages with their music, receiving many positive reviews: “the nostalgic old-school thrash/death metal band Shoot the Messiah ….. In November 2017 the band released their first EP “Here Dead We Lie”. Shoot the messiah marches on, with gigs across the country. By now they have shared the stage with bands like Exhumed (US), Rotten Sound (FI), Izegrim (NL), Severe Torture (NL), and Ingested (UK).

In July 2019 Shoot the Messiah releases their Debut Album “Kill All Gods”. From here on they prepare to further expand their fan base and keep spreading the word of Shoot the messiah.
