Band:

Continents

Biografie

Since forming in late 2010, CONTINENTS has moved from strength to strength, making a name for themselves first locally and now world-wide thanks to signing to Victory Records in 2012 (A Day To Remember, Bury your Dead, Comeback Kid, Emmure, Terror).
Starting out as little more than a bedroom “jam”, in just over 3 years CONTINENTS have proven themselves as one of the most exciting UK exports since the likes of Bring Me The Horizon & Architects.

CONTINENTS first came to light in the summer of 2011 when the self-released ‘Trials’ video premiered via Blank TV, attracting more than 10,000 views in its first week of being online. This exposure did not go unnoticed, and the band went on to be voted ‘Favourite YouTube UK Metal Act’ by its users, and as a reward the band featured on the youtube.com homepage.

Fast-forward a few years, CONTINENTS have been successful in releasing their debut full length album IDLE HANDS worldwide via independent giants Victory Records. Produced by Stu McKay (Studio Six) and mixed and mastered by Pete Rutcho of Damage Products (The Ghost Inside, Bury Your Dead, Hand of Mercy). IDLE HANDS is a monstrous barrage of aggression which has achieved major success with both critics and fans all over the world and in what has been little over 3 years, CONTINENTS have launched from box room shows in South Wales to a major force to be reckoned with.

2013 saw the band tour IDLE HANDS extensively covering all major UK & most European cities along with a small run of festival dates with The Ghost Inside in Japan. The bands hard work in 2013 paid off as CONTINENTS were included in the “Top 100 bands you should know” in Alternative Press, a milestone in any bands career. With the follow up to Idle Hands well underway, CONTINENTS show no signs of slowing and 2015 looks set to be their year.
