DARK TRANQUILLITY werden "Atoma" am 04.11. via Century Media veröffentlichen und haben jetzt erste Details sowie das von Gitarrist Niklas Sundin gestaltete Coverartwork verraten.

Die CD wird auch als limitierte Doppel-CD als Mediabook veröffentlicht, zsätzlich mit einer Bonusscheibe, die die Songs "The Absolute" und "Time Out Of Place" umfasst, die von Anders Lagerfors in den Nacksving Studios aufgenommen und gemixt wurden.

The band explains, "A lot of our songs start out as pieces of music written on piano/keyboards before getting transformed into guitar driven metal. With this recording, we wanted to explore what would happen if we instead let the material take another direction, and we're extremely thrilled by the result."

"Atoma" wurde bei Rogue Music im schwedischen Göteborg aufgenommen, dem Studio von DARK TRANQUILLITY-Keyboarder Martin Brändström. Für den Mix war David Castillo (KATATONIA, OPETH, CANDLEMASS) verantwortlich.
