Neues Albumprojekt: GENTLE STORM mit "The Diary"

Arjen Lucassen (u.a. AYREON, STAR ONE, GUILT MACHINE, STREAM OF PASSION) und Anneke van Giersbergen (THE GATHERING, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT) haben für ihr neues gemeinsames Projekt THE GENTLE STORM gegründet und jetzt das Artwork zum Debütalbum „The Diary“ (Vö-Termin: Anfang 2015 via Inside Out Music) veröffentlicht.

Arjen gab dazu folgendes Statement ab :

“I loved the front cover of the last Stream of Passion album, so I tracked down the cover artist, Alexandra V. Bach. I sent her some samples of the The Gentle Storm music, and explained the album concept. She made a moodboard that captured the feel of the story and the music. We then gave her the go-ahead to design the cover. She did an amazing job that exceeded our expectations: Alexandra’s cover art represents The Gentle Storm perfectly!”

Bereits 1998 haben die beiden für das AYREON Album „Into The Electric Castle“ und dann nochmals für das siebte Ayreon Werk „01011001“ zusammengearbeitet. The Gentle Storm ist die Fusion des Duos zu einem Doppelalbum. Anneke wird 2015 mit dem Album auf Tour gehen und von diversen holländischen Musikern unterstützt; Arjen wird dabei leider nicht mit von der Partie sein.
