Alle (Ex-)Fans der verblichenen THE CROWN werden vermutlich anfangen, breit zu grinsen: Die Nachfolge-Band ANGEL BLAKE mit einem der THE CROWN-Songwriter - Gitarrist Marko Tervonen - hat jetzt wie die Vorgänger-Band bei Metal Blade Records angedockt - obwohl es auch andere Angebote gab. Marko Tervonen dazu:

”To continue my musical carreer with Metal Blade feels great! I´ve learned to appreciate and respect the crew behind the label a lot. I think they do an excellent job and I´m psyched about what we can do together to make Angel Blake a name known the world over.”

Über den neuen Stil der neuen Band äußert er sich auch:

"If The Crown was more about speed and aggression, then ANGEL BLAKE is more about heavy melancholic songs. There´s no blastbeats here. (...) I would describe it as influenced and inspired by bands such as Metallica, Paradise Lost, Him, Danzig (I admit it, I nicked the name ANGEL BLAKE from Danzig!), and Sentenced, spiced up with some heavy Morbid Angel twists. And as mentioned before, with "NORMAL" rock/metal vocals!"
