BAND: Azahel´s Fortress
BY Dennis Otto
Biografie
Azahel's Fortress was given birth in the begining of 2003 as solo project from Azahel. After the releases of 2 old school blackmetal demo-cds in summer 2003 the first live-gig took place on the Dark Moon Festival. Because of the great reactions from the audience some concerts in Austria followed. In 2004 another demo-cd called "Plagued Screams From The Deserted Dark Turret" was recorded, and in 2005 the debut-cd "Secrets of the forest" was released.
The next two years Azahel's Fortress was layed on ice, because I was concentrating on the music of my second band ALASTOR (CD Silva Nordica 2005, CD Noble North 2007).
I also did some live jobs for the black'n'roller EWIG FROST and started to play bass in the styrian black metal band SANGUIS.
In the beginning of 2007 I decided to write some new material for Azahel's Fortress, and so I recorded one song for the Austrian underground compilation "Norici Obscura Pars Pt.II".
Because of the great response to this song I decided to record a full length album again, but this time with drummer Isbor (in former times I was playing drums by myself or I used a drum-computer).
With the great sound of the new studio (soundtempel studio), an experienced producer (Stefan Traunmüller) and drummer Isbor, a new era in Azahel's Fortress' history has been introduced.
With "The Chaos Kingdom" - a mixture between classical black metal, pagan metal and black'n'roll - the band reaches its peak and will also present this on as many stages as possible in Europe! With session members A.Sethnacht, Necrodeath and Isbor the live-line-up is complete and will kick your ass as soon as possible!!!
