BiografieIn the year 1999 SECRETUM was founded by Centrox, Maeztro and Evil_e to perform Metal the way it´s supposed to be: hard, fast and aggressive. Bay-Area meets Berlin: SECRETUM (lat. retirement, solitude; a secret, mystery) stands for self-contained INTO-THE-FACE THRASH METAL, that includes a crossfire of influences from Death Metal to Punk.Comparisons with bands like the early KREATOR, SLAYER and CARCASS were drawn in various reviews, but it´s up to you to form your own opinion about this asskicking music...

1999 SECRETUM released their first 4-Track-Demo BLOODY BATTLE BERLIN. Although it was only a rehearsal-tape, BLOODY BATTLE BERLIN received good reviews in fanzines. SNOW WHITE, one song from the tape, was released on the JINX Sampler 1/2000. Meanwhile SECRETUM did a lot of gigs in Berlin with a couple of great Metal bands from the area like HARMONY DIES, ULCER, MOLOT, NECROMORPH, ORPHAN HATE etc. and all over Germany with bands like MASTIC SCUM, SAXORIOR among others.

In the year 2001 DVA aka Agrow (additional guitar and composing) joined SECRETUM and the second Demo STRONGER THAN YOU was recorded in the SOUNDWERK ORANGE STUDIO. Planned as a promotional Demo it contained only two songs. Notwithstanding the short playtime STRONGER THAN YOU was praised in various mags and fanzines for its mixture of good old German Thrash Metal and modern Hyperblast Death Metal. As a result of the good resonance SECRETUM was signed by METAL AGE PRODUCTIONS in summer 2002. Agrow left the band for private reasons a few weeks before. SECRETUM recorded 6 new tracks for the debut album HAPPY HAPPY KILLING TIME, which will be released in the first months of 2003. It also will contain the songs of the STRONGER THAN YOU Promo and brandnew material like a bonustrack featuring DJ ORANGE from FORMOSAN RECORDS.

After the recording of the debut album a band´s spanish friend joined SECRETUM as the new shouter. Carlos B. Crosa aka Kato has brought the band a new feeling for killing vocals and powerful live-shows. In february 2003 SECRETUM were invited to join the "Short but Heavy Tour, Part II” with german Death Metallers FEARER and swedish Thrashers DEFLESHED through Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. The band got very positive responses from the crowd. Unfortunately Centrox (a founding member) left SECRETUM a few weeks after the tour because he changed his place of residence.
It was time for SECRETUM to reorganize their line-up before going on with live activities. Jockel (alias Cunteye) known from the grinders NECROMORPH replaced Centrox as the new bass-player and a few months later former second guitarist Agrow rejoined the band. SECRETUM are now five psychos hungry for real Metal-madness...Don’t miss their live-shows with a new more powerful sound! Gigs with bands like DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, PUNGENT STENCH, FLESHLESS and more are on the way.
