NORTHERN LIGHT is a new super group from the Norwegian guitar player / songwriter Tor Talle. After being a session player and writing music for television, documentary, webmovies and other artists, Tor felt the need to go back to his melodic rock roots.
His first AOR album of NORTHERN LIGHT is featuring tremendous singers, musicians and songwriters such as Fergie Frederiksen (ex-TOTO, MECCA), Tony Mills (SHY), Peter Sundell (GRAND ILLUSION) and Kimmo Blom (URBAN TALE, HEARTPLAY) to name a few.
Tor Talle has written some awesome songs in the melodic rock style, some by his own and some together with Fredrik Bergh (STREET TALK), Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN), Terje Eide (ON THE RISE), Peter Sundell and Kimmo Blom.
Tor started to play the guitar at age of 13 and his first big influences was Kiss and Gary Moore. When he heard ”Eye Of The Tiger” with SURVIVOR on the radio he was lost. He still thinks that Jim Peterik and Frankie Sullivan of ”SURVIVOR” is the greatest songwriter team ever.
Tor have been playing in many different bands and with his first rockband ”Wendell Gee” he won a local talent contest. After that he has played everything from Jazzrock/fushion to heavymetal.
In 1999 Tor recorded his first cd - a demo CD with 12 instrumentalsongs and five vocal songs. Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN) was one of the singers on this demo CD.
