ME & MUNICH

Me & Munich is a Danish melodic noise rock band, established in 2018, out of the pieces of the former band, Shocking White - an underground noise punk band, where singer and guitarist Jan Steiniche led forces.
Searching for a new sound and direction Jan brought Shocking White to an end and formed Me & Munich
As a trio, Me & Munich’s debut EP “Knives of the sun” was released by the English record company ScreamLite Records, who brought it across the european underground scene with some good reviews and some well deserved airplay. The band played a handful of gigs in Denmark, and soon hereafter new material for the debut album were on its way.
Two new members Jonas Eik Borja and Michael Tagesen joined the band. They matched the bands DNA immediately and brought new creative fire and ideas into the writing proces. Within six months ten new songs were complete and ready to be taken to the studio.
Three weeks before entering the studio, a serious decision had to be made, if the forth coming studio sessions had to succeed. The musical and personal differences with the drummer were too big to ignore. Me & Munich had to part ways with the drummer. The band was lucky enough to make a deal with producer Andreas Linnemann, who was a fast learner and ready to help them out
Seven days were spent in the studio with Andreas Linnemann (Baest, Nicotine Nerves) and the proces was filled with joy, creativity, and humor. The confidence and relation to Andreas was quickly established, and he was able to bring out the best of the band with his patience, ideas and great musical abilities.
