Band:

Lux Ferre

BiografieHISTORY:
Rising from Portugal, Lux Ferre was created in the summer of ´01 by two individuals: Baal Sabbath (guitars and bass) and Devasth (vocals and programming). Their intention was to create Black Metal on its most violent, fast and destructive form.

Soon was decided to record a demo and therefore the process began. Recorded during the summer and autumn of ´01, "Wicked Riffs Of War" was released in February ´02 in CDR format by Witchcraft Prod. limited to 100 copies. The feedback was positive and some doors were opened. The sonority wasn´t the desired one but the essence was there. On the 1st of October ´02 War Prod. released the tape version of this demo now with improved sonority and professional printing limited to 250 copies. Now the objective was a more vast distribution.

Since that the tape version of the first demo had an incredible demand from all over the world underground distros, Lux Ferre decided to release on 1st of February ´03 a second unexpected demo-tape entitled "Unholy Ascendance Of Satan". This demo-tape was once again released by War Prod. but, this time limited to two editions of 66 copies each. This demo-tape´s objective was to show Lux Ferre´s improved sonority and also to pay a tribute to the three covered bands (Venom, Impaled Nazarene and Samael). This demo-tape was meant to become an elitist item not suitable for large public.

On the 28th Of July ´03 War Prod. released a three-way split CD featuring Flagellum Dei, Lux Ferre and Sterkvind entitled "Kult Of The Black Flame" limited to 500 copies. This is Lux Ferre´s first professional CD release.

In September ´03 the song "The Light Of Darkness" was exclusively released for the compilation CD "Lusitânia Dark Horde". This compilation CD released by Nightmare Prod. features fifteen exclusive tracks from fifteen Portuguese bands like Storm Legion, Acceptus Noctifer, Lux Ferre, Flagellum Dei, Decayed, Raptus, Thy Black Blood, InThyFlesh, Onirik, Morte Incandescente, Flamma Aeterna, Coldness, Inner Helvete, Irae and Corpus Christii.

"Antichristian War Propaganda" is the debut album released by Ketzer Rec. and it´s their first release with real drums which were recorded by Lord Mantus (Mysteriis, Darkest Hate Warfront, AncientBlood). Mastered at Necromorbus Studios (Sweden) this release demonstrates all the destructive power of Lux Ferre and is their most complete and varied work to date. This album stands as the action of Satan´s word.

CONCEPT:
Playing "True War Satanic Black Metal" Lux Ferre (Lucifer) is the Latin for "the bearer of light". Through their music and lyrics, Lux Ferre recreates the whole nature of the Human being: the instinctive impulse for self-destruction through War. This impulse is associated with Lucifer´s "Act Of Rebellion" which is the personification of the Human actions towards everything. Lux Ferre is pure Satanism and nothing more… like all the True Black Metal is supposed to be.

Antichristian War Propaganda - Cover
