Band:

Embedded

BiografieBeing fascinated by the Death Metal-"Mania" in the early 1990´s EMBEDDED was founded in summer 1994 by André Danowsky (guitar), André Müller (vocals, bass) and Jens Wöstmann (drums). They released their first Demo-Tape in late 1996, just entitled "Embedded" and including 4 songs of old-school Death Metal just the way it should be, followed by some gigs with bands like Krabathor, Dew-Scented and Manos. The german Rock Hard-Magazine (# 120, 5/97) wrote: "Holy shit! This band rules! [...] Buy or die!"

Due to musical differences EMBEDDED split up in 1998. But one year later founding-member André Danowsky revived EMBEDDED. With Jörg Heemann (ex-Morbus) on drums, vocalist Markus Brunsmann and Ingo Neugebauer on bass-guitar EMBEDDED entered a local recording-studio in december 1999. The result: a MCD entitled "Fragments of horror", with 6 outbreaks of old-school Death Metal on it, recorded and mixed in only three days. This self-financed MCD was released in May 2000. The german Death Metal-Zine Unholy Terror (# 3) wrote: "Yeah, that´s the way Death Metal should sound. No unnecessary shit here just thundering drums, splashing guitars, a pulsating bass and a great roaring voice. That´s what I call the perfect ingredients for a magnificent Death Metal menu. [...] Nothing more to say, keep an eye on this promising new band."

Kai Schweers joined the band as a second guitarist in december 2000. A few weeks later the german label Perverted Taste released a Split-EP with EMBEDDED and Disastrous Murmur (Austria). Included are the songs "Death unfolds" and "The forsaken soul", just taken from the MCD. In April 2000 vocalist Markus Brunsmann had to leave the band due to lack of motivation. He was soon replaced by Rainer Düsing (vocalist of The Vast, too), who will take part in both bands now. Impressed by the intensive live-performances of the band, the german Cudgel Agency invited EMBEDDED to play the "Fuck the commerce IV"-Festival in late May 2001 (with Krisiun, Exhumed, Centinex, Defleshed, Cryptopsy...) in Neiden/Germany. A few months later EMBEDDED played at the "Ludwigshafen Deathfest" (with Severe Torture, Pyaemia, Disavowed), too.

EMBEDDED released their first full-length CD in November 2001 on Revenge Productions. It is entitled "Banished from the light" and was recorded and mixed in just four days. The german Rock Hard-Magazine (# 181, 6/2002) wrote: "This album could be straight out of the early 90´s! Straight to the point and ass-kicking Death Metal with very, very cool and brutal vocals! Quite US-styled and well performed music of which you can´t get enough!!!" In May 2002 EMBEDDED played their first tour - and they did it in Finland, with Immersed In Blood (Swe) and Deepred (Fin) as support. It was a very successful trip for each band with a very amazing live-performance at the "Westcoast Holocaust"-Festival in Turku where Throneaeon, Satanic Slaughter and Mörk Gryning played as well. In July 2002 EMBEDDED got the possibility to play at the "Obscene Extreme"-Open Air in Trutnov/Czech Republic where they shared the stage with, for example, Sinister, Pungent Stench and Rotten Sound in front of about 1500 outfreaking people.

After this very successful year, 2002 ended up in a clash: due to heavy personal differences Ingo Neugebauer (b.) and Kai Schweers (g.) had to leave the band in early september. This may have had again the end of EMBEDDED, but the three remaining members just asked their close friends Christian Wösten (b., ex-Bound For Tomb) and Philipp Jonas (g., Secrets Of The Moon) to join the band for a couple of gigs (i.e. "Ludwigshafen Deathfest 2002") to keep EMBEDDED alive. It worked out very well and meanwhile Christian changed to the second guitar and Matthias Puhr (ex-Bound For Tomb) joined the band as the new bass player. After a amazing gig at the "Gothenburg Deathfest" in November 2003 (with Immersed In Blood, Disavowed, Rotten Sound...) EMBEDDED started working on a new album, probably to be released in late 2004.

Klebriger, klumpiger Melo-Death klingt euch zu verweichlicht? Die amerikanischen Kollegen sind euch viel zu technisch, spielen Bombe, haben aber einfach kein Herz?
