Band:

E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr

BiografieThis year promises to be a year of two great comets, both visible in the Northern hemisphere, the first one in March and another one in December. Experts believe these cosmic wanderers could turn out to be the most spectacular comets in decades, even centuries. Now, a Finnish deep space agency Svart Records is proud to launch yet another black and round object that rushes into both the inner parts of the Solar System and our earthly minds: an album by E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr, a Finnish Kosmische Musik band fuelled by synthetic waves, propelling sequences and pulsating rhythms. This mission has been prepared for more than two solar revolutions and finally the probe is ready for takeoff.

E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr's long-awaited studio album, entitled Kometenbahn, is a compilation of six original sonic pieces that mirror both hemispheres of the band. While E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr's quest for cosmic experiences is proudly inspired by German Kosmische Musik of the 1970s, the band also boldly pursues to probe frontiers that have remained unchallenged for four decades. Kometenbahn is a journey into organic atmospheres, warm analogue timbres and melodic sequences that bring the sound of the pioneers into the 21st century.

E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr has performed in various venues ranging from rock clubs to art museums, libraries and movie theaters. All music of E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr is made to be played live and also many of the album tracks have evolved in live performances and jam sessions.

The four space cadets of E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr are: Pertti Grönholm, synthesizers, sequencers and samplers; Jaakko Penttinen, synthesizers and sequencers; Kimi Kärki, guitar, e-bow and effects; Ismo Virta, Memotron, guitar and effects.
