Band:

Dreamland

BiografieEven though our raw diamonds Dreamland played the mighty Sweden Rock Festival in 2001 you wouldn´t have heard their name before – because they were called Infinity back then and have been through a couple of other incarnations since. They earned their slot at Sweden Rock with the demo “Crystal Age” which made even the prodigy-spoiled Swedish audience look up and listen to this fresh approach to Heavy Metal. The demo was followed up by the single “The Call” in 2002.
They called – and Joacim Cans listened. The Hammerfall singer took the promising band under his wings and helped them clear their hassles. Finally the band decided
on the name Dreamland and recorded the song “Falling Higher” in the fall of 2002.

This was the foundation for a lasting co-operation, and they went back into Joacim Cans “Moonshine Studios” in October 2003 to record some more songs. After much songwriting throughout 2004, this is where another influential figure in Swedish metal enters: Andy LaRocque split the recording duties for their first full album with Joacim Cans; Andy recording drums, mixing and mastering and Joacim recording
vocals, bass & guitars and adding his distinguished vocal chords to the background vocals.

Their own Joacim on vocals doesn´t have to hide in this competition: When in studio in Gothenburg not only Andy LaRoque but also Fredrik Nordström and Snowy Shaw
of Dream Evil were convinced of Joacim Lundberg´s abilities and asked him to sing on the upcoming Dream Evil album.
Around the same time Dreamland signed to Hamburg based label Dockyard 1, who will release “Future´s Calling” on November 21st.
