Band:

Downstairs

BiografieHaving been around for well over a decade now, Downstairs are a Finnish four-piece that combine a wide range of influences all the way from furious hardcore to catchy pop melodies and even some electronic buzz in their music. Compared to such leading names of experimental punk and rock as At The Drive-In, Fugazi and ...Trail of Dead, the power of their hook-laden mixture has become obvious: the band have won over fans from both pop and punk scenes and begun to make themselves a name as Finland's most interesting rising alternative band.
After having roused wide interest with their ep's, Downstairs' debut album "Oh Father" was finally released in the beginning of 2008 both in Finland and abroad. The first single "Peephole City" became an internationally acclaimed indie hit; it was, for example, selected as the song of the week by such prestigious quarters as the British BBC's Radio1 Rock Show and the American Filter Magazine. Downstairs have also excelled in playing a great number of sweaty gigs. In addition to supporting several international top-acts, The Locust and Raised Fist to mention but a few, the band have, for example, toured in Eastern Europe twice.Quelle: http://downstairsnoise.com/bio.htm www
