BiografieDECEIVER was formed in January 2004 by ex - Maze of Torment member Pete Flesh - guitars, ex - Xenofanes member Crille Lundin - bass, Magnus Flink - drums and Destormo - vocals. Their main goal was to form a band where the energy, attitude and dedication to their old heroes such as Motörhead, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Venom, etc. would stay in main focus. Still doing it in their own way and trying to keep the vibe as personal as possible. DECEIVER is definitely not a bad copy/rip-off band. This is the real stuff, coming straight from the heart.


At the end of May 2004 two days were spent in the Abyss studio with Tommy Tägtgren (Dark Funeral, Marduk, Forsaken etc.) for the recording of their debut self-titled M-CD, released by the newly launched Gothenburg label, IRON FIST PRODUCTIONS. Six songs were recorded. One of the songs will be set aside and used as a bonus track for the vinyl release later in 2005, by IRON FIST PRODUCTIONS.


The M-CD has received a brilliant response, and the band’s "Thrashing Heavy Metal" started to spread like a fireball in the underground. The same goes for their live shows, the audiences were more than satisfied with their energetic performance.
