BiografieDark the Suns is a melodic dark metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland. In our music we combine beautiful piano melodies and dark vocals.

Dark the Suns was originally founded as Mikko's solo project in 2005 in Valkeakoski. The first demo - where Mikko played all the instruments himself - was selected as ”Demo of the Month”
in Inferno Magazine. In the beginning of 2006 DtS settled to Jyväskylä and Mikko's one-man project grew to a full band when Juha joined the band as a keyboardist, Inka as a bassist and Markus as a drummer.

Since we were signed to Firebox Records in the autumn 2006 we have released our debut album
In Darkness Comes Beauty in November 2007 and The Sleeping Beauty -single in the next spring.
We have also played lots of gigs during the last year in Finland, and we also played a short
Baltian -minitour in May 2008.

In summer and in autumn there were some changes in Dark the Suns' line-up: Markus and Juha left the band. Mikko and Inka started to search for new bandmates, and quite soon new drummer Eino and new keyboardist Pinja joined the band. Later in the winter our former keyboardist Juha returned to DtS as a second guitarist. Quite soon after that also our first drummer Markus returned to the band, because Eino moved to Helsinki in the beginning of the year 2009.

The Dead End (mcd) saw the daylight in the late autumn 2008 and it hit the official Finnish Single Chart on it's first sales week. Our new album All Ends in Silence -album is going to be released 25.03.2009 by Firebox Records!Quelle: http://www.darkthesuns.com/ www
