Band:

Coredust

BiografieThe Beginning

Coredust was formed in the early 2007 when Jyty (drums) joined the rest of the guys: Sakke (guitar), Olli (bass) and Esa (vocals).

At about the same time (in January 2007) they recorded the very first Coredust demo CD which included 3 songs. After the first demo, they played a bunch of gigs in Finland.

Past Lives EP

Between the initial gigs, some serious songwriting was going on. The material created in those sessions would eventually end up on the Past Lives EP recorded in the Scandal Recording Studios (with Kari Huikuri handling all the recording, engineering and mixing duties) at the end of the year 2007.

Past Lives EP was released in the beginning of 2008 and got some great reviews (e.g. 4/5 in Inferno Magazine and 4,5/5 at the Imperiumi.net webzine where it was additionally selected as the demo of the month). Scarred for Life from Past Lives also received some airplay at the local finnish radio station Radio Rock.

And There is Life After the Past Lives

The band didn’t rest on it’s laurels after the Past Lives was released but hit the road instead and played some well received gigs in Finland. There were some membership changes in Fall 2011. Jyty quit the band and Antti (keyboards) joined.

Coredust entered Scandal Recording Studios once again on November 2011 (with Huikka once again handling the recording, engineering and mixing duties) to record a full length album to be published by Inverse Records sometime during Spring 2012. Skin beating duties in the studio were handled by Jaska Raatikainen of Children of Bodom.Quelle: http://www.coredust.com/ www
