NEWS: SABATON & POP EVIL - Templars neue Version!
Es ist
ein Aufeinandertreffen zweier unterschiedlicher Hardrock-Genres, die perfekt
zusammenpassen.
Gestern begrüßten SABATON den Pop-Evil-Frontmann Leigh Kakaty während
ihres Auftritts beim „Louder Than Life“-Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, auf
der Bühne. Zur Überraschung von Zehntausenden Fans präsentierten sie diese
Version gemeinsam zum ersten Mal – einer der Höhepunkte des Festivals. Kakaty verleiht
dem Song einen neuen Schwung an Energie und Leidenschaft. Zwischen verzerrten
Riffs und donnernden Drums entfaltet sich sein kraftvoller Gesang, bis die
Dynamik im mitreißenden Refrain gipfelt: "Templars
on the march, charge from the temple."
Zu dieser neuen Version äußert sich Sabaton-Sänger Joakim Brodén wie
folgt: "'Templars'
was a hit with our fans when we dropped it last year to introduce our 11th
studio album, Legends. This year, we wanted to do
something a little different with it, and teaming up with our North American
tourmates, Pop Evil, just made perfect sense. Having a fantastic vocalist put
his own stamp on the track adds a whole new layer and gives the song a fresh
energy that we're really excited for everyone to hear. It's also a great way to
get everyone fired up for our upcoming tour in North America. It's going to be
a blast touring with Pop Evil, and we hope our fans enjoy this new take on the
song."
Bassist Pär
Sundström ergänzt: "We've
always enjoyed finding new ways to revisit our music, and 'Templars' felt like
the perfect song to experiment with. When the opportunity came to collaborate
with Pop Evil due to them joining us on our upcoming North American tour, it
was an easy decision. Leigh's take on the track brings a different attitude.
It's exciting to see one of our songs evolve like this."
"When Sabaton
approached me about contributing to 'Templars,' I was immediately
intrigued," sagt Kakaty. "I've always appreciated the
band’s ability to bring history to life and this song stood to that power. The
track gave us the opportunity to explore loyalty, purpose, and the challenges
that come with standing by what you believe in. 'Templars' captures the triumph
and diversity — the kind of energy and emotion that we all look for in music.
Collaborating on a song with such strong storytelling was a real privilege.
Heading out on tour together in the fall makes the track feel even more special
for me."
Die neue Single erscheint nach dem Song "Yamato," für den sich die Band
erneut mit dem beliebten Online Spiel World of Warships und dessen
Entwickler Wargaming zusammengetan
hat. Seit der Veröffentlichung im März, hat die Single mehr als 7.5 Millionen
Spotify Streams generiert, während das Video 4,6 Millionen Views auf sich
vereint. Dies zog die Aufmerksamkeit von Medien wie Blabbermouth, Metal Injection, NME, und vielen mehr auf sich, während Louder schwärmt: "Yamato is yet another
stirring, oh-so-epic tune to be added to their arsenal."
Ende des vergangenen Jahres veröffentlichten SABATON ihr aktuelles Album Legends. Mit beinahe 200 Millionen Streams wurde es von der Presse gefeiert -beispielsweise vom Kerrang!: "Sabaton do one thing, and after 11 albums there doesn't appear to be an off switch. But by Odin, they do that one thing better than anyone else." Louder lobte: "It does stretch their battlefield into something closer to a cinematic universe, with them still marching at the front of power metal's ranks."

Steel als Vorbands auf.
Im Frühjahr 2027 kehren SABATON im
Rahmen der “Legendary
Tour Part 2” auf die europäischen Bühnen in
insgesamt 15 Länder zurück - darunter auch Shows in Nürnberg, Düsseldorf,
Mannheim, Leipzig und Hamburg.
