The year 2000 spawned the birth of AMARA. This energetic four piece rock/metal band from the UK, possess a fresh new powerful sound, yet they are not afraid to draw on their ’old school of Metal’ roots. AMARA are a band that has the courage to say what they think and feel! ”Finally, a ’Metal’ band with intellect, who are not stereotypical ’Metal’!”AMARA have toured extensively in the UK, and have also played at some of the UK’s leading live music festivals including Mutfest, Thimbleberry 02 and the Phoenix Festival. AMARA also clinched a successful European Tour in support of Slash’s Snakepit.
The 12 track debut album, ’CONSPIRITUALIZED’ produced by award winning producers Mike Frankland and Damian ’Dimmer’ Blackwell for Oragon Records Ltd, contains a version on the Cults ’She sells Sanctuary’. This track went Platinum on its first release in the Eighties and look out for the video single ’She sells Sanctuary’ on screens soon!
