BiografieLOST IN RHONE were founded in 2003 and after only 2 years they are still a fairly new name in the Belgian underground scene. Now in 2006, nine songs and an instrumental intermezzo have found their way onto LOST IN RHONE’s debut CD "Beloved Be the Ones who Sit Down". And it proves that the young Belgian hopefuls know how to write songs and keep the listener interested and wanting more every time. Catchy choruses, heavy, melodic riffs and an occasional breakdown, that’s what LOST IN RHONE stand for!

While most of the so-called emo bands whine for themselves and gaze at their shoes when playing, LOST IN RHONE are far from self-pity: "Our plans are playing every single place there is, meeting cool people and having lots of fun!", states guitarist Bart Janssens. LOST IN RHONE are an astonishing live band, from the first seconds they appeared on stage it was clear that this band had more than many in this quickly growing Post Hardcore/Emo genre – and producer Ace Zec (Death Before Disco, among others) pushed the band to keep this energy on disc. In a flood of bands and influences they picked the right ones, "Bands that we have in common are Hopesfall, Thrice, Alexisonfire, Poison the Well, Underoath, Thursday", says vocalist Steve Vandersmissen. The other influences range from jazz and soul to emo, post-hardcore and good old Heavy Metal.
