Combining two of the world’s toughest elements that combust in heat in relatively the same manner results in a combination that is virtually impossible to break. Very similar to the mindset of a soldier!



Two years ago in central Finland a band called Teräsbetoni was formed by a group of four musicians. The band gets its inspiration from heavy metal and sings about issues that have formerly only been touched by a few. It’s now time to unite the Nordic soldiers and sing about battles in the Finnish language. This is not an easy road to follow… but the challenge has been accepted without fear.



“The call of metal may be too hard to handle for some, but not for those that are guided by the warrior instinct”, are the words from the first single called “Taivas lyö tulta” that has held the top position in the domestic single charts in Finland for three weeks in a row. The road is long, but the games have begun.



The band gathered visibility in the early days by publishing music over the Internet. At the end of 2004 the band was signed to Warner Music Finland and work to get the first album together began immediately. Anssi Kippo, whose merits in heavy metal speak for themselves, was chosen to produce the debut album. On Anssi’s list of merits are band’s such as Children of Bodom, Sentenced, Lullacry and Norther.



On the 6th of April the shadow of Teräsbetoni shall set over the world as their debut album is scheduled to see the light of day. The album is titled Metallitotuus and is meant to gather and unite all the bravest and most victorious soldiers to fight for the cause.



Teräsbetoni performed at the Finnish Metal Expo fair in Helsinki and gained great appreciation from music professionals resulting in several bookings for next summer’s festivals. At the same festival the international interest towards the band was also notable resulting in e.g. the first single “Taivas lyö tulta” being added onto airplay in Japan!



Around the release of their first single, also the new web-site of the band was unveiled to the public. This site has provoked great interest among fans with daily visitors being around 2000 and the number of visitors to-date being approx. 200. 000!
