GRIND

GRIND evolved over a long process of 25 years, bringing together the chief protagonists of various Post & Noise Rock as well as Death Metal and Grindcore bands from Flensburg, Germany. Brought together through a creative journey that started two years ago, the band recorded a limitless and furious album. More open-minded and at the same time heavier than most of the music created by musicians that were born the day the members of GRIND played their first gigs.

Every member of the band looks back on a wide spectrum of music, which goes beyond the metal styles and clichés. That makes GRINDs songwriting and sound so exciting and limitless. As Rene, guitarist and lead singer will tell you, "when we were kids, we were so obsessed with following a particular sound and style. Today the band is done with one-dimensional metal music. It is part of growing up as a musician, I guess".

New wave and singer songwriters are as much part of the bands influences as iconic metal bands like Napalm Death, Nasum or Carcass.

However, the band plays hard and raw. The sound itself goes back to the essence of metal. "We more believe in the quality of riffs and songwriting then in digital production technology" adds Bent, "a computer itself doesn't make you sound brutal".

The US Metal reviewer Swine Brothers listened closely to the album "Songs Of Blood and Liberation" and agrees: "Its heavy as fuck!"

Oliver Grbavac from Fleshcrawl, Germanys Death Metal spearhead, is a bit more precise by saying, "the record is great. I particularly like the multifaceted song structures and production".
