SYLOSIS – Video Premiere für animierten Clip zu “Leech”

SYLPOSIS haben ein neues Video am Start: Dem Titel zum Trotz ist »Dormant Heart«  kein friedliches Album, es ist eine echte Macht, die die Wut gegen alltägliche Ungerechtigkeit rauslässt, Wut gegen eine verschlafene Gesellschaft, die diese Dinge einfach geschehen lässt. Dies alles wurde nun im neuen Videoclip zum Song „Leech“ perfekt zum Ausdruck gebracht.

Das aufwendig animierte Video wurde von Oliver Jones von Better Felling Films (UK) erstellt. Er benötigte fünf Stunden um die Storyline zusammen mit der Band zu drehen, über 60 Tage um den Clip zu animieren.

Oliver war die einzige Person, die an diesem Projekt gearbeitet hat – vom Dreh bis zur Animation. Dabei verwendete er das Rotoscoping-Verfahren. Frontmann Josh kommentiert wie folgt:

"Leech is the second single off the new album. I would say the album is probably our heaviest to date but this song showcases a more melodic and stripped back side to what we do. It's a really dark, sinister doomy sounding song and we thought it would be cool to try something a bit different for the video and have it reflect the vibe of the music. We've always wanted to have an animated music video and it allows for a bit more creativity and makes it stand out."
