When I´m only writing the full name of TO SEPERATE THE FLESH FROM THE BONE this teaser-brick is already full. The promising EP "For Those About To Rot" is telling of more grindcore, faster gutting, sharper knifes and a damn tight drummer. The skeletons behind TSTFFTB are told to be in a connection with well-known artists like AMORPHIS or HIM. Who? What? Ask bass player Rot Wailer about it:InterviewRot Wailer, you seem to be three pretty rotten bastards from Finland, considering the pictures of yours. Where did you get your mostly german names (besides Rot there are Herr Arschstein on vocals and Pus Sypope on Drums), would Finnish names have not been fitting enough or do you have to have a german name to be rotten to the core?

We looked into the animal kingdom, corrupted church life and human anatomy. Much of it was written in German.

Do you wanna reveal who you have been before you turned out not-dead-yet grindcore zombies? There´s already funny rumours all around the net who you are. Especially little girls with tattooed "heartagramms" are already scared about and keen on knowing more about Herr Arschstein and Pus Sypope...

If you turn the little girls upside down their heartagram will become a rectagram. Our past is a mystery even to us.

What made the nasty Grindcore virus break out after all the time?

Music was getting too nice and too slow, we had to do something about it.

And what must have infected you years ago?

It must have been some kind of bakteria or worm.

Do you have hope to ever cure again or are you bound to rot forever?

Time will tell if they can reverse the aging process.

How long did it take till everything was as rotten as it is on that record ?

We had about 1 1/2 years of mental preparation. When we finaly got going everything was done in less than 24h all together.

Pus Sypope once played his drums in a full ice-hockey-set. Does his bony appearance still fit in?

Since his flesh was separated from his bones he has used it for protection, his bones are still very fragile.

10 minutes are quite a blast for a GRIND ep. But nothing compared to a "full" album. Are you planning something like that?

We are working on a full album it will probably come out later this year.

You are playing a few live shows in near future. How are you filling the set? Are you planning to film them?

We have our first show in a small club in Helsinki 17.7. during the Tuska festival. We will play as opening act, so we have a few special numbers and some new songs. If we can find a camera man we will film it.

Good advice for our readers?

Infection is spread through faeces, fluids, fingers, flies, fields & food. Remember to wash your hands.
