Band:

WE

BiografieWE, still for many a mystery... The fact is that WE are one of the most interesting bands to have come out of the Scandinavian rockscene in the last 10 years.
WE´s music have caught the ear and appraisals of many of todays most influential musicians. The likes of Chris Goss, Queens Of TheStoneage, Turbonegro, Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Hellacopters, Gluecifer and others have all praised WE´s brand of Cosmic Biker Rock as truly original and influential.

As productive as ever, WE now bring you the most refreshing, dirty cosmic bluesrock you have heard in a long time. Infected by rock´n´roll, sweat and in the face attitude, WE are again seaping out of Oslo´s gutter. Ready to strike a thorn in the eye of conformity and stir things up. WE are ready to kick teeth!!!!

WE are in prime state and got their weaponry out gleaming and shining in the sun. Where their previous effort “Dinosauric Futurobic” hit you over the head with cunning hooks and turns, “Lightyears Ahead” thunders straight out on the arena like a bull in heat packed with great examples of the craft known as rock´n´roll. Come on a journey through time with WE and get “Lightyears Ahead…”

“Lightyears Ahead” creeps out of hyperspeed with the intro “Zu Zu”. The stage is set and “Kickin´” opens the ball. An immediate classic and you can’t help but sing along to the catchy and snotty chorus. R´N´R (I put my life…) finds WE heading out on the dusty highway. A timeless bluesanecdote, complete With female back-up singers and a slideguitar from another universe. A magic floating intro glides into some more classic slideguitar playing, a psychedelic breed of AC/DC and early Jethro Tull perhaps? Or is “Lost Crossroad Found” the 2003 version of the WE classic Wooferwheels.
When “Found Crossroad Lost” enters it´s time for WE to dominate and for you to submit your soul…
“Freak Capital Of The Universe” is a 14 minutes mastodont, a tribute to spacerock. Fans and followers of WE have have long looked forward to the release of this epic on disc. “Freak Capital Of The Universe” is also part of the sci-fi story “The Rise And Fall Of Spaceport 22 Benfric. The Annals Of The Freakweb”. This story is included in the booklet of Lightyears Ahead in it´s entirety, and is written by long time WE collaborator and spiritual advicer Todd Monsoon.

“Lightyears Ahead” stands out as one of 2003´s best rock´n´roll albums, always with a foot in history but eclectic and truly original, just like good rock´n´roll is meant to be like.

WE
