Band:

Killing The Dream

BiografieCalifornia’s Killing The Dream are an inspiring and passionate contemporary hardcore band. Embodying the same positive emotion found in contemporaries Comeback Kid and Bane, Killing The Dream’s approach also pays tribute to legends Unbroken and Chain Of Strength. Their collective energy is the definition of hardcore power. Making even the most jaded of listeners appreciate and praise them as their new hardcore heroes in the making.

After releasing a fantastic 7″EP/CD on Rivalry in 2004, Killing The Dream made Deathwish their new label home. In 2005, the band released their “I Rewrote It” 7″EP on Deathwish to praise from hardcore kids worldwide.

In early 2005, Killing The Dream travelled to Godcity Studios to record their “In Place Apart” album with Kurt Ballou (Converge). In it’s final form, “In Place Apart” became a moving 12 song journey into the shattered heart and soul of its creators. The album was praised by aggressive music press worldwide as one of the best releases of 2005. The release was even declared “The best hardcore album of the year” by AP.

In support of the release, Killing The Dream played shows all over the U.S. and even toured Japan. Since then, Killing The Dream have played shows locally while focusing on writing their follow up album, “Fractures”.

KILLING THE DREAM released with „Fractures“ another excellent album, which will hopefully bring the band a big step forward. Enough power to do so is in both the band and the album, as guitar player Patches pointed out in the interview.

Lucky Me - Cover
KILLING THE DREAM fangen “Lucky Me” wie gewohnt an, angepisst-wütend und gnadenlos geht „Blame The Architects“ los und vereint die Trademark-Stimme von Shouter Eli mit den kraf
