Band:

Huata

Biografie“Huata are a four piece band hailing from the old Celtic part of France, Brittany. In the Breton language, their name is an expression that means “Witch Hunt”, and a verb which means “to Jeer”. Since 2006 the group have spread a psychedelic Occult Doom that deals with the initiation and hidden workings of secret societies, Luciferian pacts, extra terrestrial forces, inner earth mysteries, the quests for the holy power of mighty relics, Vril power and the ancient knowledge from dead kingdoms. Through this unknown path of the history they reveal a luminous way to a truth holding that which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above, working the miracles of one. Finding inspiration from the music and films of the 60′s and 70′s, Huata created a smoky, gloomy, yet powerful atmosphere for their live performances, gathering an audience for loud amplified ceremonies, a sonic mass where we invite our listeners to give praise and join us in a frenzied sabbat. The band are also influenced by the music of other bands, both contemporary (Electric Wizard, Goatsnake, Church Of Misery…) and vintage ones (Coven, Black Widow, Black Sabbath, Goblin, Magma). They have a heavy, massive sound, but laced with vintage tones (using a lot of classic backline equipment in addition to a Hammond organ). The band’s first release was an EP “Open The Gates Of Shambhala”, available in CD format in 2010 with the help of Throatruiner Records. It was recorded by the band themselves and both mixed and mastered by KKP. A reissue of this was produced in a special handmade cassette format through Zugzwang Productions. In early 2012, they released their new album, “Atavist Of Mann”, recorded, mixed and mastered by KKP again (who also joined the band). With the assistance of 5 labels (Boue Records, PsycheDoomelic, Throatruiner, Mordgrimm and Odio Sonoro) a consortium was drawn up under the name “De Arte Magica” to release it on a limited edition double vinyl, followed by a special handmade cassette by Zugzwang Productions. On May 21st of 2012 the CD edition is released, in a limited gatefold digifile version for mail order and a jewel case edition marketed exclusively by Mordgrimm for retail and export.”Quelle: http://www.infektion.pt/pr/reviews/huata/Discografie2010 - Open The Gates Of Shambhala (EP)
