Biografie
The progressive-deathmetal band BELTANE from Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany exists since 2005.

After three years of practicing and playing shows in the local area, they recorded their first album, called "Expressionist". Beside progressive music the band is influenced by literature, especially by lyrical expressionism. The album contains extracts of poems from Georg Trakl, August Stramm and Georg Heym, and also parts of William Shakespeares drama “Hamlet”. It was recorded in the famous Woodhouse Studios, where bands like Tiamat, The Kovenant or Borknagar recorded some of their greatest albums. "Expressionist" earned great responses and introduced the band to its first puplic intention.

In 2008 Markus Holin and Daniel Edelmeier left the band due to other priorities in life. Marius Borjans then switched from bass to guitar. The band found new extremely talented members with Daniel Woyke (Stormrider) and Volker Binias (Ex-Symbiontic). At the moment BELTANE works on new material for the upcoming concept album "Equilibration Of Minds". Beside that, the band concentrates on live appeareances, so check out their upcoming shows.
