Band:

Reflections

BiografieThe band is born in october 2000 when Mirko Montalbano (drums), Bruno Marzano (voice) and Ciccio Pizzimenti (bass) meet and start looking for musicians to form a new band. With negative experiences in former bands, they complete the line-up with Giovanni D?Arrigo and, later, Roberto Bondì on guitars. Having found a name, ?Reflections?, the only thing missing is to find a genre on which everyone agrees on, in fact the sicilian combo has numerous, yet various experiences on their backs: from hardcore (Bruno,Ciccio), to glam rock (Giovanni, Roberto), to black and death metal (Mirko). Eventually they all decide to mix everything up and give birth to an ?in your face? type of crossover whose influences go from New York hardcore (Agnostic front, Biohazard) to american nu-school (Earth crisis, Snapcase) and not disliking a small dose of good old funk (Infectious groove ).
The result, is a four track promo, recorded at the ?temple of Noise? studios in Rome in august 2001, which receives outstanding reviews and attracts numerous labels willing to sign the band. Following that, they head for an intense period of live shows, the ideal scene for the band, whose powerful and adrenalinic shows, manage to unite very different types of audience (from the most extreme metal heads, to hardcorers), obtaining flattening response (the band arrived third on 100 participants from all Sicily for the ?Campus 2001 contest?, organized by the cultural association ?Palermo in musica?).
Still memorable for the band are moments like the show on April 2002 for which 700 people turned up and on July of the same year when the band opened an evening for the historical punk band D.O.A and where the new guitarist Giuseppe Musso, was intoduced to take Giovanni D?Arrigo?s place.
In August 2002 the band goes to Rome for the recording of their first full-length album-always at the ?Temple of noise? studios- which impresses producer Christian Ice and leads him to propose a co-production contract.
The final product should have seen the light in december 2002, but was delayed to find a proper distribution for the cd. In the meantime comes a show with Raw power and the split with Ciccio, Giuseppe and Roberto, no more involved in the band?s musical decisions. Subsequently Davide Scalzo comes in on bass guitar, while on guitars Alessandro ?The Shasta?? Vecchietti and Michele D?Accardi prove to be spot on for the job. So with the line up finally completed the forthcoming release ?Free violence?, will be due in the following months and will be followed by a long tour?see you then!?Quelle: http://www.reflectionsofficialweb.com/ www

Free Violence - Cover
Anscheinend ist das "Free Violence"-Album der Italiener REFLECTIONS schon älter, aktiv scheint die Band jedenfalls nicht mehr zu sein.
